Farewell, comrades-in-arms!

March 8th, 2008 by TheBonsai

About 1 week ago (February 29), I quit my 8 years of service in the army of the FRG.

I don’t want to loose big words about it, except that I don’t regret (not at all!) that I was there. It was an important part of my life.

I want to thank all my comrades, from the FRG and from other nations, that made this time so memorable and striking. Especially the comradeship and friendship in multinational missions in foreign countries was by far the best expirience I ever made. Comradeship and friendship doesn’t depend on nationality or religion!

I want to thank my comrades from the companies I served over the time. Especially all my platoon-leaders, I never had any problems, with all of them. They all were comrades per se.

All in all, it was a time I will always remember, and I feel a bit sad about that it’s over.

I wish you all the best and I always hope that you come back from wherever they send you to!
